Meet Tajah

Hi, my name is Tajah Smith, and I am a student at the University of North Texas. I am studying public relations and minoring in communications. I have always had a passion for storytelling – one that started in childhood, when I wrote short stories and shared them with classmates, sparking joy and excitement with every page.

My Qualifications

• Obtained social media and media relations certificates through Muck Rack

• Created a digital storytelling portfolio with footage taken from a commercial licensed drone

• Experience with analyzing qualitative and quantitative information and turning that information into an actionable annual plan

• Incorporating SEO keywords into written content

• Can use Muck Rack to identify media outlets for press releases

• Experience in research, speechwriting, and preparing client presentations

Over the years, I’ve discovered that my love for writing goes beyond fiction. I’m driven by the power of words to shape narratives, connect people, and influence perception. That’s what led me to pursue a career in public relations. I wanted to work in a field where I could use my storytelling skills to craft compelling, authentic messages that resonate with audiences. My goal is to help others tell their stories in meaningful ways – stories that inform, inspire, and leave a lasting impression.
