Retiring Hispanic construction leader makes $3 Million gift to home repair charity

(EXAMPLE, Texas –Sept. 25, 2025) Charles Delgado, the CEO of Delgado Construction, donated $3 million to Hope for Homes in honor of his retirement. Along with the donation, the company is also volunteering 1,400 hours.

Delgado construction has been run by Charles Delgado since the ‘60s and is the largest and oldest Hispanic construction firm in the country.

I am proud of the legacy I build and I am honored to see it continue,” said Charles Delgado. “Now it is in my grandson’s hands, and I am excited to see what he’ll do”

Next month Charles Delgado’s grandson, the 45-year-old, Javier Delgado will be taking over as CEO.

I plan to pick up where he left off and help expand the company,” said Javier Delgado, who is replacing his grandfather as the CEO of the company “My only hope is that I do half as good a job as him.”
